During her undergraduate years shadowing a small town family physician, Kacie Hamreus, PA-C, dreamed of becoming a medical provider. The everyday challenges and interactions she had with wonderful people encouraged her to turn this dream into a reality.
Today, Kacie's medical practice is based around the relationships she builds with her patients and their families. "I've learned that no concern, no matter how small, should be ignored. It all plays a role in managing a patient's current health and preventing further health issues," she says. She also finds it essential that a health provider is someone whom patients can trust. "It is so important to a person's mental and physical health that they are willing to be open and honest with their health care provider,” she observes. “That is a role I strive to fill in my patients' lives."
Kacie earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Born and raised in Camas, Washington, Kacie is thrilled to be working in the same small town in which she grew up. There she developed a love for the outdoors as an avid hiker and progressed into a world traveler. So far she has explored Japan, Italy, Spain and France with more destinations ahead in the future. She is also a dedicated foodie, committed to finding the best biscuits and gravy in town.
