Nissa was formerly a veterinary technician for seven years before discovering her passion for physical therapy and helping people. She grew up on a cattle farm in Lyle. She continues to live there with her husband and dogs and helps with the cattle and farming duties in her free time. Nissa stays very busy with the Oregon Physical Therapy Association and American Physical Therapy Association, advocating for the profession and patients. She was awarded the APTA Emerging Leader Award in 2015 as a result of her hard work and dedication to the profession. Outside of work and the farm, she enjoys stand-up paddle boarding, music and concerts, traveling, hiking, and spending quality time with family and friends.
