About Cheri N. Oellrich

Dr. Cheri Oellrich decided she wanted to become a physician after a mission trip to Brazil while she was in high school. She chose family medicine because she enjoys getting to know and care for entire families, sometimes spanning across a few generations.

As a strong believer in a team-based approach to care, Dr. Oellrich strives to optimize her patients' health by working with other specialists and care providers. "I hope to help my patients navigate the complex and confusing medical world by carefully listening and working towards getting to the root of the problem," she says. She feels it's always important to be respectful of her patients' health goals and wishes. "I try to provide my patients with the best medical information possible to help them make the best decisions," she says.

Dr. Oellrich received her bachelor's degree from Walla Walla College. She went on to receive her medical degree from Loma Linda University and completed her residency training with Valley Medical Center in Renton, Washington. Dr. Oellrich has special interests in women's health care, diabetes, pediatric and adolescent medicine, preventive medicine and integrative medicine.

Born in Calgary, Canada, Dr. Oellrich moved to the Pacific Northwest when she was 10 and lived in the Portland area until her family moved to Michigan when she was a junior in high school. She is happy to be back in the Pacific Northwest, which she considers home. She is married with two children and, in her free time, enjoys attending their sporting events, as well as skiing, mountain biking and hiking.
