Murrad Abdelkarim, M.D., was born and raised in the Midwest. Through education, advocacy, and evidence-based medicine, Dr. Abdelkarim strives to provide the highest quality care to his patients. His passion for cardiovascular medicine is derived from the personal impact it has had on his family, and the healthcare consequences of this disease on society at large. Throughout his years in undergraduate and medical school, Dr. Abdelkarim volunteered in international health aide projects with the United Nations providing medical care and education to refugee populations. In addition to international healthcare, disease prevention, medical education and clinical research have been essential elements in his medical career. His clinical interests include endovascular therapies of peripheral vascular disease, complex coronary interventions, and structural heart disease including TAVR. He has published scientific papers, abstracts and educational exhibits. In his personal time, Dr. Abdelkarim enjoys spending time with his family, running and traveling.
