As a family nurse practitioner, Karen Ballard enjoys focusing on each patient's unique needs. "I like to work with individuals to come up with a plan of care that will work for them," she says. Karen had more than 20 years as a registered nurse before becoming a family nurse practitioner. She spent many years working in cardiac and oncology nursing.
After earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from San Diego State University, Karen completed her master's degree in nursing from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Karen is a board certified family medicine nurse practitioner.
Born in California, Karen moved to Oregon in 1990. In her free time, she enjoys her chickens, reading, knitting, and spending time with her husband and two adult children.
