My provider is excellent and makes me feel comfortable in a potentially embarrassing or awkward situation. My only frustration is that I am told to arrive 15 min early, and then I am often waiting to be called back after my actual appointment time was supposed to be, and then waiting in the small room for even more time.

This doc was a dermatologist. He was very thorough. Making an appointment there is a joke- too many months out. They called me with a last minute cancellation and I was able to go. I will be looking for another non providence dermatologist.

Thorough and caring physician!

I felt that the office in general was very well run with no hiccups or excessive waiting. They were all really pleasant and seemed proficient and efficient. Also everyone (including the dr.) were very pleasant and upbeat. They took care of my skin concerns immediately and I felt that I had gotten excellent care and advice.

Providence Bridgeport Dermatology offers wonderful care - but getting an appointment is difficult. Appointments have to be made a year ahead of time for returning patients. New patients have to wait many months for an appointment.

Dr. Pena is amazing. Super knowledgeable and always makes me feel really comfortable. He keeps great notes and asks questions specific to me. Even asked about my farm and how my daughter is doing. Nice personal touch. The office on the other didn't understand when I asked if a cyst could be removed during this visit. They said yes, but there wasn't time so we had to schedule another visit. A bit of drive for me, but understandable if they didn't know how long the procedure would take.

Dr. Pena took extra care to document some moles that I've had a long time--I felt this was a good thing going forward.During COVID, it felt like routine derm visits were too quick: Yeah, you have skin. This is the 2nd time I've seen Dr. Pena, so I'm not sure how much of the "extra" time goes to him as a provider, how much to the changed environment, including pandemic restrictions & staffing challenges.

Had an appt. Long time out. Asked for appt. Any time available sooner. His office called much sooner with an opening for me much sooner due to a cancelation. I took it and was very pleased to get it.

Great doctor - Very informative & understanding

This was my first visit to Dr Pena. He was extremely thorough and answered all of my questions. He seemed very knowledgeable and diagnosed some medical issues that needed immediate attention. I would highly recommend him.

This was my first visit with Dr. Pena. Very thorough, very personable and asked lots of questions. He and his team took copious notes and studied any growth I was concerned about. He suggested 2x year check up due to finding precancerous conditions every visit. They were both very helpful.

Dr Pe?a is very good at making you feel heard. He gives good information to help me understand what I need to know. He gives his full attention and I've never felt like our appointments were rushed. Scheduling staff and receptionists are very friendly and I always get the appointments that I need give or take a couple days.

He and all support staff should get a significant raise for how hard they all work while maintaining great patient care with a smile and sincerity.

I would gladly see this provider again. The problem is getting a appointment in a timely manner.

My provider gives a thorough exam to look for cancerous cells. We have a history of visits and he is quick to send any possible bad conditions to the lab and reports quick result of the biopsies.

Dr Pena has been informative and eagle-eyed checking my skin for cancer every six months. I am very fair. And while I have never spent much time in the sun, Dr Pena has found several basal cell cancers that needed attention. Who knew!?
