About Oana D. Majorant

Denisa Majorant, MD, chose a career in medicine, and specifically infectious disease, because she enjoys the excitement of the specialty and the global aspects of it. "Some of the most challenging diagnoses are infectious diseases, so this really motivates me to continuously keep myself updated on clinical knowledge," says Dr. Majorant.

In her practice, Dr. Majorant is focused on being thorough, as any detail of a patient's life could be crucial to a diagnosis. "I like to be my patient's main advocate," she says. "I believe communication is essential in medicine."

After earning her medical degree at Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Romania, Dr. Majorant completed an internship and residency at Lincoln Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. She also completed fellowship training at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Dr. Majorant is board certified in internal medicine.

Born and raised in Romania, Dr. Majorant moved to the United States with her husband, who is also a physician. In her free time she enjoys traveling, mountains and her pet cats.
