Jessica D. Fowler, MD

Dr. Fowler grew up in Gresham as part of a large, blended family full of strong and supportive women who influenced her career aspirations. She attended Oregon State University for bachelor’s degrees in biology and international studies, graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Fowler received her medical degree from OHSU and completed her OB/GYN specialty training at UCLA Medical Center in California—fulfilling her 5th grade ambition of becoming an obstetrician! During medical school and residency she was honored for academic achievement, leadership and education. Being raised among so many women—and later joining a sorority and becoming part of an even larger sisterhood—solidified Dr. Fowler’s commitment to being there for women during the most vulnerable and special times of their lives. She cares for each patient as she would her own mother, step mother, sister, aunt or friend. Her goal is to improve the quality of each life she touches—whether that’s through assisting with something as simple as preventing pregnancy by helping a woman find the contraception that’s right for her, or by performing surgery to remove fibroids and improve pelvic pain and abnormal bleeding—Dr. Fowler finds making women’s lives easier and more functional in any capacity extremely rewarding. Her specific areas of clinical interest include abnormal uterine bleeding, minimally invasive removal of fibroids and general obstetric care. Dr. Fowler has been active in the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists since medical school and served in an official capacity for two years during residency.
