Nate Goins, PsyD, decided to become a clinical psychologist because of his desire to help people realize their full potential and accomplish their goals. He believes in taking an integrative approach that “brings care into the medical home, meeting people where they are, despite the varied challenges we all encounter in life.”
In his practice, Dr. Goins believes his most important role is to be a collaborator and to help his patients “gain a better understanding of themselves” and build on that self-awareness to create a path to better health together. He takes great joy in seeing his patients build their confidence and capabilities to “maintain their well-being and grow in their goals.”
After earning his undergraduate degree in psychology from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, Dr. Goins went on to specialize in clinical psychology and completed his doctoral degree and internship with George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Goins enjoys spending some of his free time hiking, reading, cooking and delving into photography.
