Hillary was born in San Diego and raised in Dallas TX. She graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelors of Kinesiology and a Masters of Occupational Therapy. Hillary began her career in Oregon, first working for Consonus rehab as a sub-acute care OT. There she gained a broad experience in rehab including functional ADL re-training, ADL equipment fitting and training, neuro-cognitive re-training, and orthopedics of the upper extremity. This is where she discovered her passion for hand therapy and the desire to specialize in that area of rehab. She then worked in a private, OT owned hand therapy clinic in Fresno California where she gained experience with trauma and post-surgical rehab as well as specialized orthotics fabrication and casting. Although she enjoyed her time in California her heart yearned to return to the northwest. Hillary then moved and began to work at a private OT owned outpatient hand therapy clinic in Tualatin. While there she gained experienced in myofascial release and manual therapy techniques, ergonomics training, and Graston technique. She joined the Providence family in January 2018, first at St. Vincent and now Bridgeport Rehab. Hillary enjoys roller skating outdoors and singing Karaoke. She has a ferocious, but sweet, long hair Chihuahua whom she crochets sweaters for; yes she does have a sweater for every occasion. Hillary enjoys cooking and baking deserts with her husband and is presently learning how to play the Ukulele. She is also learning Spanish and loves any opportunity to practice.
