About Torin P. Fitton
At the age of 14, Dr. Torin Fitton told his parents he was going to be a heart surgeon. “My father was a social worker and my mother an administrative assistant so how I settled on cardiac surgery remains a mystery – I think I just knew.” As an adult cardiac surgery provider, Dr. Fitton hopes he can bring hope to the patients he treats. “At the end of the day, patients don’t come to doctors asking for a valve replacement or bypass, they come looking for hope – hope that they can feel better, hope that they can make it to their next anniversary, birthday, reunion, wedding, birth, etc. It is simply the greatest job in the world – there has never been a day that I haven’t felt honored to be a heart surgeon.”
