A passion for health promotion and education drew Maya Bratt, FNP, to a career in medicine—first as a labor and delivery nurse and more recently as family nurse practitioner. “I love collaborating with patients so they can set goals and make informed decisions about their health,” she says. “I encourage them to practice self-care and take ownership of their health so they can achieve well-being.”
In her practice, Maya sees her role as being a coach, educator, and sympathetic sounding board. “I enjoy helping patients through life’s ups and downs and watching them succeed,” she offers. “Above all, I strive to ease their journeys by knowing them and caring for them.”
Maya earned her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and her master’s degree in nursing at the University of California, San Francisco.
A native of San Francisco, Maya relocated to the Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon with her family, where she lives on a five-acre farm and enjoys raising animals. Maya is proud of her Mexican heritage and speaks Spanish in addition to English.
