She went on to major in Neuroscience at The University of Nevada Reno, and after college worked in a Neuro-Ophthalmology office. This experience solidified her interest in Neurology—it was as if this specialty sang to her heart. Shayne received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon. Shayne’s focus is on neurosurgery, primarily brain and spine surgeries. She is also a member of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. In her free time, Shayne enjoys running, hiking and doing anything outdoors. She loves all the food, beer and outdoor experiences Portland has to offer.
