About Arnab Biswas
Dr. Arnab Biswas is certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). He is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Gastroenterological Association.
Dr. Biswas was raised in Queens, New York and later moved to California where he graduated from Apple Valley High School and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in Biochemistry. He went on receive his medical degree from the Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He moved to Hershey, Pennsylvania to complete his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. During his residency he received an award for outstanding resident performance for two consecutive years for his service on the patient wards service. After serving as a hospitalist in Victorville, CA for one year, Dr. Biswas returned to Hershey to complete a competitive fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Penn State Hershey. He was been trained by experts in the field of transplant hepatology, gastrointestinal motility disorders, inflammatory bowel disease and both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. Dr. Biswas has produced several papers and videos on advanced endoscopic techniques presented at national conferences and published in respected gastroenterology journals. He is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Gastroenterological Association.
Dr. Biswas was recruited to the High Desert to establish Valley Gastroenterology, Inc. in 2009 before merging with Drs. Nguyen and Huang to create The Gastro Group, Inc. He is proud to return to the High Desert and serve its residents. His practice is established on a transparent relationship with his patients and making the patient the key decision maker behind their health care – “The patient should be an educated consumer about their health and make appropriate decisions based on all the facts surrounding their health care”.
