Providence Patient
This was my first-time visiting Dr. Botzler concerning my heart problems. When he came into the exam room I was greeted with a smile and how are you feeling today. We went over my upcoming Cardic Catherization procedure, my current medications, and one new medication he highly recommended for my heart arteries. The doctor showed and explained where my heart arteries were a problem on an excellent wall chart in color. This allowed me to better understand where the problem was. He explained the procedure to be done, stating he would go through my right arm. This is my fourth Cardic Catherization test, but the others were through my groin. Everything was covered from my arrival to the hospital to going home. He covered the use of a stent if necessary and said Dr. Philips would perform that procedure if needed. My wife [Name(s)] was also present, and she too was extremely impressed with Dr. Botzler. He is a kind and gentle man, and I am completely at ease with him. A wonderful addition to St. Joes cardic doctors.

Dr Botzler is very knowledgeable and very nice. I respect him very much as my cardiologist.
Providence Patient
I felt I am in very good hands. Also, the practice was easily accessible relative to where I live which means less stress.
Providence Patient
I need to have my [ID] heart monitor removed. Several cardiologists have recommended leaving it in until its batteries die (in the next few months). I always ask "why?" Dr. Botzler agreed with me that it's time to remove it as it has served its purpose. He said his team would call me to make the removal appointment. That happened a few days later, and the appointment date was within the next two weeks.
Providence Patient
Great and Thank God they are there for me

Dr. Botzler is a knowledgeable and compassionate provider.
Providence Patient
I was having issues with my heart. We called the office, gave them the information re: heart rate. I got an appointment for the next day with Dr. Botzler and an appointment for a week later to insert a pace maker. Since the appointment with Botzler, I ended up in the hospital thanks to Dr. McDowell who was on call on Saturday when I started having serious issues. I am home now and will go tomorrow for my pacemaker. Can't say enough about how quickly Botzler and his team have handled everything regarding my issues. I am very clear on why I need the pacemaker because it was explained to me by my provider.
Providence Patient
I can't say enough good about Dr. Tin Boxtler. He gave me enough time to ask all my questions, gave very clear answers. I asked some difficult questions about the possibility/probability of my demise... He did not obfuscate or evade but answered as straight up as I asked.
Providence Patient
Very good experience.
Providence Patient

Providence Patient
My appointment was at 9:05. I saw the doctor at 9:55 In the examining room when he came. He said he was called to ER. He didn't seem prepared to discuss my echo test results- was reading them over his 'scribes' shoulder on the monitor.
Providence Patient
This was my first visit with Dr. Botzler as my assigned cardiologist as Dr. Devenshwar left the practice. Dr. Botzler did put in my defibrillator many years ago. I am excited to have him as my doctor.
Providence Patient
Too many cancellations by provider. Too long wait period to get an appt. Doctor did no hands on, mainly read me back info from my chart which any tech could have done.
Providence Patient
He's extremely kind and attentive. Takes his time and answers questions and responds to concerns.
Providence Patient
I am very happy to have Dr Botzler as my Cardiologist. I am very luck my to have him as my provider.

Providence Patient
Dr Botzler is a very caring Cardiologist and was listening to all my concerns
Providence Patient
Prior to the office visit, I was having trouble with my medication. It took six weeks to finally get an answer-way too long. Finally, when I saw the doctor, at first, I wasn't sure if he was aware of the medication situation, so I had to tell him what was happening and then he asked how I was feeling since my meds were cut in half. I said I was okay, and he said we would leave the medications at the half amount of what I was using, I'm still cutting the pills in half but for the next refill, I'm sure he will put in the proper prescription.
Providence Patient
I am very glad to be a patient of Dr Botzler and his staff.
Providence Patient
I was very happy with my recent visit with Dr. Botzler. He took the time to listen to my health concerns and was very supportive and reassuring. He offered me good medical advice and reviewed my previous test results with me. I really appreciated his calm demeanor as well as the encouragement he offered me regarding diet and exercise. This visit was just what I needed and I'm looking forward to my next visit in May 2024. Thank you to Dr. Botzler and nursing staff.

Providence Patient
Dr. Botzler has always been warm, interested & very informative. I find him kind & caring.I'm always pleased with my visits with him.
Providence Patient
Ok
Providence Patient
It's difficult to manage care when it takes so long to actually be seen by the physician. I also felt that he prescribed a drug for me with little to no information about adverse reactions or discussion of my current health issues that might be problematic with this medication.
Providence Patient
Communication worked well over the phone.
Providence Patient
Good: Dr. Botzler was informative and concerned about my cardiac situation.Bad: Wait time from checking in to actually seeing Dr. Botzler was over an hour and fifteen minutes.
Providence Patient
This is the first time I had seen this particular Dr. He was very professional and seemed to genuinely be interested in my wellbeing. A few days later I ran into him at the hospital and he remembered me and said hello.
Providence Patient
Good listener. Asked questions. Clear answers and advice.
Providence Patient
Good. Am sure if I should have a problem Dr Brotzler would be great
Providence Patient
Dr. Botzler and his staff are always professional, kind and hear my questions and needs. I am relaxing more and my white coat syndrome seems to be diminishing some. I am thankful for Dr. Botzler and his staff.
Providence Patient
Everyone was nice and helpful
Providence Patient
I felt like the Dr was only half way present with me. He seemed distracted and inattentive. When I asked direct questions for clarification or further understanding he shrugged as if to indicate, "I don't know" or possibly even "I don't care enough to engage with your concerns," He gave unclear advice about whether to continue or discontinue with prescriptions. He asked about symptoms and then as I described symptoms he responded with a blank stare and a shrug of the shoulders but no followup questions or advice.
Providence Patient
Wonderful, caring provider.
Providence Patient
Having had a heart attack and Stent placed in May I am extremely happy with care I received in the hospital and with my care team in the Dr office.
Providence Patient
Dr. Tin Botzler is wonderful, and so is his support staff. I feel fortunate to have him as my cardiologist.
Providence Patient
Dr Botzler treats his patients with respect and consideration.
Providence Patient
I had an appointment that was rescheduled by your office two months later. I waited an hour and a half to two hours from my appointment time. The doctor I saw seem to know the heart very well and was cordial but did not have any of my medical information from my own doctor personal doctor. It almost seem like a waste of time
Providence Patient
I don't know why he didn't check my cholesterol as he is a heart doctor
Providence Patient
I was very happy about how well the doctor explained things to me.
Providence Patient
Dr Botzler was my Mothers specialist for years and my family grew to love him. I am honored and privileged to have him as my own now. I can trust him always.
Providence Patient
I have a unique congenital pre existing [ID] condition which plays a role in my diagnosis and treatment options for [ID] and Afib. Dr. Botzler was truly a good listener and I feel he offered me a diagnosis and treatment path for the future.
Providence Patient
I was very impressed with the provider.
Providence Patient
Dr.Botzler listened carefully to my questions and concerns, provided answers in an understandable manner (usually), and exhibited concern and empathy throughout. One not-so-positive outcome of my visit -- discovered via a text I received from my pharmacy several days later -- was a prescription for a beta-blocker ([ID] mg tab) which I specifically refused when Dr. Botzler explained to me what the drug was for, and its possible side effects.
Providence Patient
Considering how hard it is to find medical staff in our area, I am thankful to have the current provider. I feel like his skill level exceeds the previous provider. At this point, I feel confident that I will receive the care I need.
Providence Patient
I need a pacemaker and had it scheduled. Within 10 days of the visit. It will be done [Date] He is the only one I know that I would trust him to do this. Very nice, understanding dr.

Providence Patient

Providence Patient
Friendly staff, cordial, professional treatment, excellent doctor.
Providence Patient
He listened to me when I asked questions and explained things to me very well.
Providence Patient
Waited a year to be seen by a doctor. When I did he acted rushed and didn't act like he had time for to answer all my questions. He outlined two procedures which he thought would be good but never set me up to have either one set up. All he did was told me to come back in six months,
Providence Patient
I arrived at my appointment with Tin Botzler 15 minutes early at about 2:10. I was in the waiting room about an hour and a half. Then I was taken back to a room for a EKG. I heard the doctor on the phone for half an hour. He hung up and then placed another call that lasted about 5 minutes. I am a new patient of his. He said he had looked at my chart, but it was clear he had not. He suggested I stop taking [ID] as it was a low dose. I told him I had heart palpitations and he said I should continue. I told him I had diarrhea in the AM and my gut was still rumbling and I had waited 2 hours yo see him. He acted nervous. He suggested I get cholesterol blood test and asked when I had had it last. I couldn't recall and asked if he had access to my chart. He then looked at the computer screen read off the results from the previous test from less than a year ago and said it looked good and wanted to see me in a tear. I am 75 tears old and this is the first time I have had a doctor fake his way through an appointment. It was obvious he was totally unprepared.
Providence Patient
I was seen in a timely manner. The doctor explained the test results and future plans very well
Providence Patient
Felt good about the concern of the doctor about my health care.
Providence Patient
Dr. Botzler yawned three times and pinched the bridge of his nose twice. He did not seem alert or very engaged. When he mentioned an angiogram my first thought was "you won't be the one who does it". He is obviously overworked or something and I have little confidence in him. I will be looking for another cardiologist.
Providence Patient
Dr Botzler was very patient and explained symptoms and procedures very well. I didn't feel rushed and was very pleasant to talk too.
Providence Patient
I understand that we haven't enough cardiologists here in Humboldt County. It would be better If sthere were more. I think Dr. Botzler is an excellent doctor.
Providence Patient
Dr Botzler was kind compassionate and knowledgeable about my status. Very excellent care.
Providence Patient
My appointment went very well.
Providence Patient
In today's Medical Climate it hard to find great providers in our rural area. It great to see that Providence was able to find a diamond in the rough so to speak with Dr. Botchler.
Providence Patient
It was a good visit.
Providence Patient
Dr Botzler is a rock star! I have lots of providers in Providence and in other networks, Including UCSF and Johns-Hopkins, Sutter, etc and Dr Botzler is easily in the top 3, if not the top one!Humboldt County is so fortunate to have such a highly qualified and personable specialist. Keep him happy and please don't overwork him to the point where he leaves. Thank you.
Providence Patient
Easy to talk with
Providence Patient
Everyonecwas ver nice.
Providence Patient
Dr. Was outstanding and the best I have seen so far.
Providence Patient
I like the doctor
Providence Patient
Dr. Botzler is very easy to talk to. His demeanor is calm and reassuring and he listened to what I had to say. I appreciate the way he made recommendations based on the individual details of my situation, rather than taking a more generalized approach. Even though it was a busy day and he was a bit behind schedule, he still took plenty of time with me and the other patients. I was grateful for that and it was totally worth the wait.
Providence Patient
Initial visit with new Dr. After my cardiologist retired. Was very impressed.
Providence Patient
My experience has been the waiting room times are a bit long, but then I am the 'patient' so my job is to be patient. Dr. Botzler is the best, spends enough time, answers all questions, is obviously concerned about me. He gives me the sense that he is not in a hurry, and I am more important than the clock. All the staff I've encountered were not just professionaly good, but also friendly. I can't say enough good about this office.
Providence Patient
He is one of the best I've ever met
Providence Patient
Everyone is very nice and I think they try but there is such a shortage of Doctors. I was seeing Dr Kabani and he noticed that I had a couple of leaky heart valve's. He told me that once a year we will have you do a Eco. And that will keep track of how bad they are leaking and will tell us if we need to replace the valve. After Dr Kabani left it took them awhile to find a Dr so my annual appointment was a year and a half. I receive a call from Dr Botzler office saying that he has looked over my records and does not need to see me. I told the office that I still wanted to keep the appointment. I went to the appointment and they did the blood pressure and it was good and they did a EKG and it was normal so the Doctor said you are good to go. I asked about the Eco and he said not necessary. I also asked him if he wanted to see me in a year and he said not necessary. He also said it would not be necessary to see him anymore unless I am having symptoms. Maybe my heart valves are fine now but how do you know unless you do a Eco. If I wait until I am having symptoms that might be too late. I did not have a good feeling after the visit.
Providence Patient
Dr botzler was very knowledgeable professional and personable
Providence Patient
All good.
Providence Patient
Everything was good
Providence Patient
Dr Botzler is a very good provider. He answered my questions very well and we came up with a plan of my care together which I really appreciate. He yawned several times during my appointment, not sure what was going on with him? All in all I'm very happy with him!

He explained the importance of taking medication as directed and I was reassured that I would receive excellent primary care from my current MD.
Providence Patient

I like working with Dr Botzler
Providence Patient
Dr. Botzler listened to our concerns, and suggested a way to monitor [name] bp and even told me to report to him our results by texting him personally. (His parents and we have been good long time friends, and that is how we happen to have Dr. B's personal cell phone #).

When I was first diagonised with congested heart failure I was seeing a traveling cardiologist and if I had any questions or concerns I would try to talk to someone at the local office and got no where with the office personal. It was like I wasn't diagnoised here and flown to Napa to the hospital there. I was diagonised here and flown out due to no one having a free bed. When I left Napa 11 days later I was told I should see the cardiologist within the first week it took me a month and 4 days to see the traveling one. I was starting to call the traveling cardiologist at his office in the Las Angeles area. I did get a email for a medical assistant and she helped me a lot getting my heart medication approved so I could continue to take it with no issues. Since we have gotten into to see Dr Boltzer we feel so much better and that he will be my Dr from now on.
