I need to have my [ID] heart monitor removed. Several cardiologists have recommended leaving it in until its batteries die (in the next few months). I always ask "why?" Dr. Botzler agreed with me that it's time to remove it as it has served its purpose. He said his team would call me to make the removal appointment. That happened a few days later, and the appointment date was within the next two weeks.

My regular care comes from [ID]. I was referred to Dr Botzler to assess cardiology Issues. This was my second visit. He ordered some follow up testing which I have been unable to schedule as they haven't called me back. Both visits with Dr Botzler were first rate.

I was having issues with my heart. We called the office, gave them the information re: heart rate. I got an appointment for the next day with Dr. Botzler and an appointment for a week later to insert a pace maker. Since the appointment with Botzler, I ended up in the hospital thanks to Dr. McDowell who was on call on Saturday when I started having serious issues. I am home now and will go tomorrow for my pacemaker. Can't say enough about how quickly Botzler and his team have handled everything regarding my issues. I am very clear on why I need the pacemaker because it was explained to me by my provider.

I can't say enough good about Dr. Tin Boxtler. He gave me enough time to ask all my questions, gave very clear answers. I asked some difficult questions about the possibility/probability of my demise... He did not obfuscate or evade but answered as straight up as I asked.

My appointment was at 9:05. I saw the doctor at 9:55 In the examining room when he came. He said he was called to ER. He didn't seem prepared to discuss my echo test results- was reading them over his 'scribes' shoulder on the monitor.

This was my first visit with Dr. Botzler as my assigned cardiologist as Dr. Devenshwar left the practice. Dr. Botzler did put in my defibrillator many years ago. I am excited to have him as my doctor.

Too many cancellations by provider. Too long wait period to get an appt. Doctor did no hands on, mainly read me back info from my chart which any tech could have done.

He's extremely kind and attentive. Takes his time and answers questions and responds to concerns.

Since my open heart surgery in 2011, I have experienced having to see many different cardiologists. It was nice to see Botzler two times in a row.

Prior to the office visit, I was having trouble with my medication. It took six weeks to finally get an answer-way too long. Finally, when I saw the doctor, at first, I wasn't sure if he was aware of the medication situation, so I had to tell him what was happening and then he asked how I was feeling since my meds were cut in half. I said I was okay, and he said we would leave the medications at the half amount of what I was using, I'm still cutting the pills in half but for the next refill, I'm sure he will put in the proper prescription.

I am very glad to be a patient of Dr Botzler and his staff.

He offered me good medical advice and reviewed my previous test results with me. I really appreciated his calm demeanor as well as the encouragement he offered me regarding diet and exercise. It's difficult to manage care when it takes so long to actually be seen by the physician. I also felt that he prescribed a drug for me with little to no information about adverse reactions or discussion of my current health issues that might be problematic with this medication.

I felt like the Dr was only half way present with me. He seemed distracted and inattentive. When I asked direct questions for clarification or further understanding he shrugged as if to indicate, "I don't know" or possibly even "I don't care enough to engage with your concerns," He gave unclear advice about whether to continue or discontinue with prescriptions. He asked about symptoms and then as I described symptoms he responded with a blank stare and a shrug of the shoulders but no followup questions or advice.

Having had a heart attack and Stent placed in May I am extremely happy with care I received in the hospital and with my care team in the Dr office.

I had an appointment that was rescheduled by your office two months later. I waited an hour and a half to two hours from my appointment time. The doctor I saw seem to know the heart very well and was cordial but did not have any of my medical information from my own doctor personal doctor. It almost seem like a waste of time

I don't know why he didn't check my cholesterol as he is a heart doctor

I have a unique congenital pre existing [ID] condition which plays a role in my diagnosis and treatment options for [ID] and Afib. Dr. Botzler was truly a good listener and I feel he offered me a diagnosis and treatment path for the future.

Dr.Botzler listened carefully to my questions and concerns, provided answers in an understandable manner (usually), and exhibited concern and empathy throughout. One not-so-positive outcome of my visit -- discovered via a text I received from my pharmacy several days later -- was a prescription for a beta-blocker ([ID] mg tab) which I specifically refused when Dr. Botzler explained to me what the drug was for, and its possible side effects.

Considering how hard it is to find medical staff in our area, I am thankful to have the current provider. I feel like his skill level exceeds the previous provider. At this point, I feel confident that I will receive the care I need.

He listened to me when I asked questions and explained things to me very well.

Waited a year to be seen by a doctor. When I did he acted rushed and didn't act like he had time for to answer all my questions. He outlined two procedures which he thought would be good but never set me up to have either one set up. All he did was told me to come back in six months,

I arrived at my appointment with Tin Botzler 15 minutes early at about 2:10. I was in the waiting room about an hour and a half. Then I was taken back to a room for a EKG. I heard the doctor on the phone for half an hour. He hung up and then placed another call that lasted about 5 minutes. I am a new patient of his. He said he had looked at my chart, but it was clear he had not. He suggested I stop taking [ID] as it was a low dose. I told him I had heart palpitations and he said I should continue. I told him I had diarrhea in the AM and my gut was still rumbling and I had waited 2 hours yo see him. He acted nervous. He suggested I get cholesterol blood test and asked when I had had it last. I couldn't recall and asked if he had access to my chart. He then looked at the computer screen read off the results from the previous test from less than a year ago and said it looked good and wanted to see me in a tear. I am 75 tears old and this is the first time I have had a doctor fake his way through an appointment. It was obvious he was totally unprepared.

I was seen in a timely manner. The doctor explained the test results and future plans very well

Felt good about the concern of the doctor about my health care.

Dr. Botzler yawned three times and pinched the bridge of his nose twice. He did not seem alert or very engaged. When he mentioned an angiogram my first thought was "you won't be the one who does it". He is obviously overworked or something and I have little confidence in him. I will be looking for another cardiologist.

Dr Botzler was very patient and explained symptoms and procedures very well. I didn't feel rushed and was very pleasant to talk too.

I understand that we haven't enough cardiologists here in Humboldt County. It would be better If sthere were more. I think Dr. Botzler is an excellent doctor.

Dr. Botzler is very easy to talk to. His demeanor is calm and reassuring and he listened to what I had to say. I appreciate the way he made recommendations based on the individual details of my situation, rather than taking a more generalized approach. Even though it was a busy day and he was a bit behind schedule, he still took plenty of time with me and the other patients. I was grateful for that and it was totally worth the wait.

My experience has been the waiting room times are a bit long, but then I am the 'patient' so my job is to be patient. Dr. Botzler is the best, spends enough time, answers all questions, is obviously concerned about me. He gives me the sense that he is not in a hurry, and I am more important than the clock. All the staff I've encountered were not just professionaly good, but also friendly. I can't say enough good about this office.

He is one of the best I've ever met

Everyone is very nice and I think they try but there is such a shortage of Doctors. I was seeing Dr Kabani and he noticed that I had a couple of leaky heart valve's. He told me that once a year we will have you do a Eco. And that will keep track of how bad they are leaking and will tell us if we need to replace the valve. After Dr Kabani left it took them awhile to find a Dr so my annual appointment was a year and a half. I receive a call from Dr Botzler office saying that he has looked over my records and does not need to see me. I told the office that I still wanted to keep the appointment. I went to the appointment and they did the blood pressure and it was good and they did a EKG and it was normal so the Doctor said you are good to go. I asked about the Eco and he said not necessary. I also asked him if he wanted to see me in a year and he said not necessary. He also said it would not be necessary to see him anymore unless I am having symptoms. Maybe my heart valves are fine now but how do you know unless you do a Eco. If I wait until I am having symptoms that might be too late. I did not have a good feeling after the visit.

Doctor and staff are great, but the wait time was exceptionally long, I was seen 1.5 hours after my initial appointment.
