Dr Bui pre-Covid used to check the nodules on my thyroid by feel. She has not physically checked me since 2019. Overall I feel she's "checked out" from being a doctor. Dr Bui reads my labs & that's it. That's the appt. I've already read my own labs through the Quest portal prior to my appts. I've stopped asking Dr Bui about other health concerns as her response is to deflect to me asking my primary care doctor. I guess once you specialize you forget all the other things learned the first 4 years of med school. I've only asked her about hormones & the issues I'm having being peri menopausal but she always says to ask Dr Bello about it. I actually dread coming to my appts every 6 months. Feels like a waste of my time plus having to pay for parking just to be read my lab results I've already seen & be told my meds will be kept the same. The last two appointments I've just kept my mouth shut to get out as soon as possible since I know if I'm not asking something about my thyroid Dr Bui won't address it.

The nurse took my blood pressure before seeing Dr. Bui. I told Dr. Bui I was feeling lightheaded. She took my blood pressure again and told me to rest and she will take my pressure after then she left. A different nurse came in and asked how I was feeling I told her I need to vomit which I did. She gave me vomit bag and said I need to go to the Urgent Care downstair and she wheelchair me there. After the Urgent Care checked me out (I also vomited there) they said I need to go to Hospital Emergency. My brother took me there.

Based on the results of blood test Dr. Bui tells me what not to do or need to do that affects my health condition, example; avoid or limit eating potassium items, exercise more. Also she monitor my condition if cancer occurs again and because my thyroid gland was removed she monitor my medication for thyroid and diabetes.
