About Robert A. Duensing

Dr. Robert Duensing, MD, FACS is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Vascular surgeon who has been providing high quality vascular surgical care to Orange County patients since 2000. He has dedicated his practice to the treatment of venous disease, arterial aneurysms, arterial occlusions, and carotid arterial disease.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from UCLA, Dr. Duensing attended medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin (formerly a part of Marquette University Medical School). He returned to Southern California where he spent six years in post graduate training completing an Internship and Residency in General Surgery at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center. It was during this time that he developed an unquenchable interest in Vascular Surgery. He dedicated a year solely to Research in Vascular Surgery and then completed a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Loma Linda University Medical Center in 2000. Dr. Duensing has published numerous articles in well-established medical journals and has authored several chapters in medical textbooks still used today.

Currently, Dr. Duensing’s specialty areas are vascular and endovascular surgery and venous procedures. Over the last decade, he has developed a particular interest in patients with venous disease. Through his years of experience, he has developed a thorough and effective method to evaluate and treat all forms and stages of venous insufficiency including varicose veins, spider veins and chronic venous wounds. This method focuses on understanding not only the symptoms and appearance of each patient’s problem, but defining and understanding the exact source of the problem in order to enable a focused, complete treatment aimed not only on treating the specific problem at hand, but drastically reducing the chance of future recurrence. He has accumulated years of experience treating patients with a broad range of venous disease. As the result of his experience and amazing results, he has become a well-established and respected vein specialist among his peers. Most notable, however, is that the majority of Dr. Duensing’s patient referrals come directly from his previous patients.
