About Golareh Fazilat

Director of the Children’s Eye Center of Orange County, Golareh Fazilat, MD is a board certified ophthalmologist with expertise in strabismus and pediatric ocular disorders. She completed her ophthalmology residency at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Subsequently, she completed her fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology amongst a selective, elite group of residents at the USC/Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Dr. Fazilat was recruited to serve as Assistant Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at the Vision Center of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the University of Southern California-Keck School of Medicine. She has spent many years teaching clinical and surgical skills to ophthalmology residents and pediatric ophthalmology fellows.

As an expert in her field, Dr. Fazilat is regularly invited to present at national and international conferences. In addition, she volunteers her time and expertise by offering medical and surgical care to patients in developing countries where access to medical care is scarce. She is an active member of multiple medical societies, including the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Her philosophy is to work closely with other ophthalmologists, pediatricians, family physicians, and optometrists to provide the most comprehensive care for each patient.
