About Robert E. James

Dr. James is a board-certified urologist and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons with over 25 years of experience. Dr. James is also a clinical instructor in urology at the University of San Francisco. In addition to general adult urology, his special interests include, Peyronie’s disease, female stress incontinence surgery, prosthetic and vaginal reconstructive surgery, male genital reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, including diagnosis and treatment of cystocele, enterocele, and rectocele.

New to Dr. James’ practice is the UroLift® procedure. This procedure is a minimally invasive approach to treating an enlarged prostate, or Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), that lifts or holds the enlarged prostate tissue out of the way so it no longer blocks the urethra. There is no cutting, heating or removal of prostate tissue.

When Dr. James is not practicing medicine, he enjoys painting and spending time outdoors golfing, skiing, and fishing.
