About Elvira Klause

From the moment you walk through the door to the office of Dr. Klause, most patients say they feel a sense of small-town hospitality and care that is refreshing in today’s impersonal corporate medical atmosphere. Dr. Klause committed early on in her career to establish a warm, personal practice where her patients feel like family while getting the best surgical care available. One of the key factors, Dr. Klause believes, is for the patient to see one surgeon from start to finish. That’s why Dr. Klause insists on seeing all her patients personally during the entire duration of care which is highly unique in this age of colossal health care agencies and impersonal physician groups. She also tries to make herself available around the clock for questions or concerns. Dr. Klause believes that a good surgeon is not defined by the sheer volume of patients one can see in a day, but rather by the quality of care a surgeon gives that is acquired from treating a patient from start to finish!

In order to make sure that her patients are receiving the most advanced surgical care, Dr. Klause spends considerable time keeping abreast of the latest developments and breakthroughs in the surgical world. Currently, Dr. Klause is one of the few surgeons in California who is proficient and successful using the highly advanced SILS (single incision laparoscopic surgery) laparoscopic surgical method which requires only one incision instead of multiple incisions for laparoscopic surgeries. She is also one of the few surgeons trained in Robotic surgery in the south orange county area. Furthermore, this pursuit of excellence has helped Dr. Klause perfect even the simplest of surgeries and introduce improved surgical techniques into her practice such as the Transanal Hemorrhoid Dearterialization (THD) hemorrhoid method for which she is one of the few surgeons qualified to perform this procedure on the West Coast.

Overall, because Dr. Klause focuses on the patients needs herself, she is able to put together the most effective and aggressive treatment plan for each person. Dr. Klause understands that it takes this kind of personal approach as a surgeon in order to bring about the best results for all of her patients.
