Shahid Latif, MD

Dr. Shahid Latif is an experienced Radiation Oncologist who completed residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center and fellowship at Harvard University. He started out as an attending at Lakeland Medical Center and next became the Medical Director at Casa Grand Radiation Oncology Center. He has proven himself a leader and excellent physician before joining the Mojave Radiation Oncology Group.

During his years helping patients overcome cancer, he has taken a keen interest in serving various committees at several hospitals. He has engaged in regular speaking events regarding cancer detection, prevention and maintaining a healthy life style. He served as chairman of the following groups; Continuing Medical Education, Cancer Care, Radiation Safety and Tumor Boards.
Most recently, Dr. Latif has been appointed as Assistant Professor of clinical Radiology at California University of Science Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Latif has expertise in many forms of treatment: Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), 3D conformal Technique, Electron Therapy, High Dose Brachytherapy, Prostate Seed Implant and Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy.

Dr. Latif’s treatment philosophy is offering his patients compassion, accessibility and kindness along with offering the best treatment possible and using all available tools of modern medicine to obtain the best outcomes for his patients.

Dr. Latif has been married for over 30 years, has two children and one grandchild. He takes pride in his work and enjoys spending time with his loved ones.
