About Eric L. Lin

Eric L. Lin, M.D. is a board-certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon with over five years of clinical practice in the Orange County area. His practice is solely devoted to the care of patients with surgical spinal conditions. Dr. Lin believes in utilizing non-surgical methods to their fullest extent and considering surgery only when necessary. His primary focus is on healing patients with the most effective and least invasive techniques, allowing for quicker recovery and optimal patient satisfaction.

Dr. Lin attended Canyon High School, prior to enrolling on athletic scholarship at UCLA where he was a member of the UCLA Tennis Team. He played all 4 years, which included being a 2 time Division I All-American and team captain his senior year.

Dr. Lin attended the UCLA School of Medicine. Upon graduation, he completed the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at UCLA Medical Center. For his final year of training, he was a Fellow for Spine Surgery at Rush University in Chicago, widely recognized as one of the top Spine Surgery academic programs in the country.

Prior to college, Dr. Lin played in the US Open after winning the US Junior National Championships. In his spare time, Dr. Lin enjoys reading, playing/watching sports, spending time with his family/friends, being active and always exploring new things.

Dr. Lin has contributed to various peer reviewed Orthopaedic and Spine Journals throughout his career, as well as given medical presentations at national meetings on topics in these areas. His areas of research have included epidural steroid injection efficacy, total disc replacements, spinal biomechanics, advanced imaging technologies for intraoperative navigation during spine surgery, bone graft efficacy/safety, cervical/lumbar stenosis, and anatomical considerations during minimally invasive approaches to the lumbar spine. Dr. Lin continues to enjoy being an active member of the medical community.
