Dr. Haig Najarian is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist practicing in Orange. He treats patients with gastrointestinal and liver disease and performs a wide spectrum of endoscopic procedures. He was raised in Southern California and graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. Shortly after, he obtained his medical degree at the USC School of Medicine in 1992 where he developed his interest in gastroenterology and liver disease. Dr. Najarian then served his clinical internship, residency, and gastroenterology fellowship at the UC San Diego School of Medicine. In 1997, Dr. Najarian joined the clinical staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Orange. Additionally, he has been an active member of the St. Joseph’s staff; serving on the Quality Enhancement Committee, as well as the Internal Medicine Core Committee, the GI Section Committee and the Medicine Executive Committee. Professionally, Dr. Najarian’s main focus is to provide both excellence and compassion in his patients’ medical care. While he maintains a keen interest in implementing new techniques and treatments, these are always considered for his patients on an individual basis keeping their best interests the priority. His relationship with his patients and maintaining their trust are of utmost importance to him. On a personal level, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He enjoys traveling, many types of music, sports, and hiking.
