About Andres Taleisnik

Dr. Andres Taleisnik is a plastic surgeon in Orange County who graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University and received his Medical Degree from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He served a six-year general surgery residency at UCLA, and received clinical experience in burn reconstruction at Shriners Hospital in Los Angeles. He then completed a residency in Plastic Surgery at UCLA. Dr. Taleisnik culminated his training with a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at the renowned Hand Center of San Antonio. After completing rigorous training in both hand surgery and plastic surgery, Dr. Taleisnik joined his father’s Orange County practice in September 1997. A Member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) and American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), Dr. Taleisnik is adept in performing a full spectrum of hand surgery procedures. He is also expertly trained in the performance of Cosmetic Surgery Procedures, including facial surgery, breast augmentation/reduction/lift, and body contouring surgeries (tummy tuck and liposuction). Board certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), Dr. Taleisnik has also received the Subspecialty Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery. He has numerous conference presentations to his credit both in the United States and Canada. Dr. Taleisnik has published a number of books and journals, including the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal, the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Journal of Practical Oncology, Plastic Surgery Forum, and the Journal of Trauma. In addition, his laboratory investigations during residency garnered the prestigious Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation Research Award, one of four that are awarded nationally each year.
