About Joyce L. Yan
Dr. Yan treats a multitude of foot and ankle pathologies including foot and ankle reconstruction, trauma, sports medicine, diabetic foot care, wound care, biomechanics, orthotic management and pediatric foot pathologies. Dr. Yan’s treatment philosophy is to start conservatively and implement surgery only when necessary.
She believes that education is important and spends time explaining pathology and treatment options to her patients. Dr. Yan believes in working as a team with her patients to alleviate their pain and to promote foot and ankle heath. She understands that patients have circumstances that can impede healing and works with her patients to devise individualized treatment plans. Being a female and avid lover of shoes, Dr. Yan has knowledge of shoe designs and has shoe recommendations for specific foot types and foot conditions.
In her spare time, Dr. Yan enjoys yoga, weightlifting, baking, traveling, trying local restaurants and spending quality time with her family.

She listened and gave me the option of surgery for my hammer toes. I didn't want surgery. If I change my mind she will look into surgery. My hammer toes keep me from wearing closed to . I wear flip flops most of the time or shoes that have Velcro or buckles. I need help to put on these shoes most of the timi have had [ID] back surgery's. I'm not able to reach my feet due to rods in my back. Too much info? She suggested shoe brands with large toe boxes

Dr Yang has taken care of my father's diabetic feet for years. She has provided him with wonderful care.. She has healed wounds when they were small and treatable. She has ordered him special shoes to prevent problem, as he was wearing shoes that were a poor fit and thus created areas on his feet that could develop ulcers. She gives him medication to keep a small problem from becoming a problem that would require surgery or losing his mobility and independence. I believe that that work and competence of this fine doctor has kept my father doing things he loves and living independently. Thank you Dr Yan.
