Dr Campbell was remarkable. He spent a lot time making sure I understood my medical condition and the impact on my daily life. We discussed the options open to me to resolve the problem. His staff quickly scheduled some additional tests in order for us to make a final decision.

I was recommended in for a long-standing back problem, Dr. Campbell really took the time to go over my MRi's explained and answered questions in detail, validated my experience of pain, and discussed options with me, we settled on major surgery, but I never felt pressured into it- and felt he would work with me whatever I decided. I want this dealt with. I ran out of questions by the end- was not hurried at all. I do not think I've ever had that much time with a doc and felt so heard. Thank you

Dr Campbell is the one that I go to when I need to make a decision on what procedures I will have on my spine and back. I go to him because he's honest and will let me know why he recommends what he does or doesn't do. Another doctor recommended a back fusion and I was skeptical. That's the reason I made the appointment with Dr. Campbell. I knew I could trust his opinion. He would look at my whole back. And he would explain things so that I could understand why he was suggesting any treatment. I didn't have any bad experiences only good ones.

Dr. Campbell was very informative on my back issues. No other doctor has ever shown me the MRI results of my back like he did. He looked at the last MRI for comparison as well. I am grateful for choosing him and for him explaining my back issues to me and other medical shots or drugs that could help. I did not choose them at this time.

I could not be happier with the care I have received from Dr Campbell, from the time I met him during my first stay in the hospital when I was admitted through the ER, to the time he performed my PLIF L4/5 fusion a month later. In addition to being a highly competent neurosurgeon, he is also kind, caring, compassionate and easy to communicate with. From my perspective, as a patient who Is undergoing such an invasive and painful procedure, the "people skills" of my care provider are every bit as important as his/her "technical skills." Dr. Campbell possesses both and I have zero doubts that it is that combination that got me to where I am today, 6 months post-op, and 100 percent pain free.

Very patient, caring, and explained everything well.

The patient is a 69-year-old man with significant cognitive impairment. Dr. Campbell was very skilled at communicating with him and was sensitive to his anxieties. Dr. Campbell adjusted his explanations to use patient-appropriate, simpler explanations and advice. He is providing excellent neurosurgical care for both the patient and to me, the patient's guardian.

Dr. Steven Campbell is an excellent physician who's well informed, very professional, knowledgeable and personable.

I saw Dr Campbell for a 2nd surgical opinion. During this visit he took a comprehensive history? Did a physical exam and spent a lengthy time going over MRI results. His insight and opinion was very valuable to me as I evaluate treatment options for a severe and complex back issue.
