  • Sr. Martha Ann Fitzpatrick Vision Award

The Vision Award was established in 1993 and was then renamed the Sister Martha Ann Fitzpatrick Vision Award in 2006. The award honors Sister Martha Ann Fitzpatrick, vice president, advocacy and ministry formation at Mission Hospital and celebrates an individual or group for living the core values of Mission Hospital (Compassion, Dignity, Justice, Excellence and Integrity) and working to bring people together to foster a shared responsibility for the quality of life in our community.

This year's recipients are Ronnie & Toni Andrews and Mary Miyamoto.

Residents of Coto de Caza, Toni and Ronnie have been cherished members of the Mission Hospital family since 2007. Incredibly dedicated and passionate about supporting Mission Hospital, they have shared their time, talents and treasures in various capacities – individually and as a family.

Toni currently serves on the Foundation Board of Directors and the Task Force for the Judi and Bill Leonard Institute for Cancer Prevention, Treatment and Wellness. For multiple years she also served as a co-chair for the Holiday Gala, raising record-breaking funds in support of mental health and wellness, as well as, cancer prevention, treatment and wellness.

Ronnie is a former member of the Foundation Board of Directors and is a pivotal member of the Cancer Advisory Board, which is helping to create a comprehensive vision for the new Judi and Bill Leonard Institute for Cancer Prevention, Treatment and Wellness. Ronnie and Toni have extensive community connections and they regularly inspire new people to serve as ambassadors and join our fundraising efforts. Toni and Ronnie are a dynamic duo and Mission has been blessed by their engagement.

Mary is a remarkable example of the values of Mission Hospital, as well as the humble spirit that is Sister Martha Ann Fitzpatrick. This fall marks the tenth anniversary of Mary’s engagement with Mission. She is a devoted member of the Valiant Women Board of Directors and has served as the chair of the THINK PINK Breast Health Wall of Honor since 2013. A breast cancer survivor, Mary is also a grateful Mission Hospital patient.

Mary leads with grace and confidence and has formed a true partnership with the foundation team, working tirelessly to expand fundraising efforts, community education and vendor partnerships. She is as dedicated to educating women about the importance of early detection as she is about raising funds to support the underserved.

Toni, Ronnie and Mary have touched so many lives through their devotion to others and the health of our community. We are all so blessed by their remarkable Spirit of Giving.
