Anticoagulants are medications that control the blood's ability to clot and are prescribed to prevent or treat a harmful blood clot. Careful monitoring is needed to prevent bleeding or clotting complications.
Warfarin is used to prevent blood clots from forming or growing larger in your blood and blood vessels. It is prescribed for people with certain types of irregular heartbeat, people with prosthetic (replacement or mechanical) heart valves and people who have suffered a heart attack.
We believe you can prevent, reverse and control some chronic conditions, resulting in optimum health and well-being. Whether you have diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, metabolic syndrome, allergies, immune system disorders or other health, dietary or weight problems, our goal is to provide you with all the help you need to successfully manage your weight or medical condition in an outpatient setting.
Our nutrition and diabetes team includes experienced, skilled registered dietitians and certified diabetes educators who will provide an individualized program to meet your needs and to successfully reach your nutrition goal.
We provide bilingual educators for Spanish, Armenian, Farsi and Russian-speaking patients.
