Infusion nursing services
We complete a thorough patient assessment prior to initiating infusion therapy at home to ensure that a patient/family will be successful with home infusion services. Infusion nurses provide one-on-one training with patients and/or caregivers so they can self-administer infusion therapies and manage pumps and other specialized infusion equipment. Some intermittent specialty* IV medications require our nurses to administer medications and monitor patients during infusions. Our infusion nurses are available to the patient or caregiver at any time by phone should assistance be needed.
Registered dietitian services
Patients receiving parenteral nutrition (IV Nutrition) and enteral nutrition (tube feeding) are regularly assessed and monitored by our Registered Dietitian. Our Dietitian is available to consult with patients on therapy tolerance and transitional feedings. Dietitians make recommendations for therapy changes based on nutrition assessments in coordination with our infusion pharmacists and patient physicians. Dietitians are also available for referral consulting with referring providers.
