Work that makes an impact

We care about the health of our region. We know you do, too. Kadlec Foundation, on behalf of its donors, supports the work of Kadlec Regional Medical Center. It's work that's more important than ever with the increasing financial challenges facing health care.

Together, we make a difference

Gifts from individuals like you allow the foundation to provide lifesaving breast cancer screenings for women in financial need, keep kids healthy, and make sure that no one faces the challenges of a neurological disorder alone. Your gifts make a difference!

Mammogram Assistance Program

Kadlec Foundation has worked through the years to help the uninsured and underserved women in our region by providing financial assistance for mammograms. The number of mammograms provided through this program grows each year, and there continues to be an increasing need.

Health care scholarships

Kadlec Foundation scholarships are designed to help students from our region pursue their dreams of having satisfying careers as health care professionals. Since many of these students plan to live and work in the region, our scholarship program also assists with recruitment and retention efforts to meet the growing need for these professionals.

Good Samaritan fund

Kadlec Foundation's Good Samaritan Fund helps families with indirect costs related to hospitalization—such as travel, lodging, meals, phone cards and gas. This assistance can help relieve a significant burden for many families.

Infant pediatric services

Kadlec Foundation supports vital care for our most vulnerable patients and their families. We have provided funding for equipment, specialized car seats and toys and electronics for education and distraction. We've also funded a program to educate parents and prevent shaken baby syndrome. Additionally, Kadlec Foundation continues to support our Courageous Kids program, which recognizes pediatric patients for their courageous behavior while hospitalized.

Health Ages Program

Kadlec Healthy Ages is a free membership program expressing Kadlec Regional Medical Center's commitment to the health care needs and concerns of the 50+ population.

A gift to Kadlec Foundation is a gift that touches many lives. We are pleased to work with you to identify the giving options that best meet your philanthropic goals and financial needs.

You may make a one-time pledge or sustaining gift. Pledged gifts are paid over time on a regular payment schedule. A sustaining gift allows you to make easy monthly donations from your credit card.

Your donation may be designated to a particular program/department, or left unrestricted, which will benefit the area of greatest need. Learn more about making an impact and make a donation online.

The Kadlec Foundation federal tax ID number is 23-7005501.

Tribute gift

Whether as a way to honor/memorialize a loved one, or to recognize the people who provided care and support, a tribute gift given in someone’s name is a meaningful way of paying tribute and expressing appreciation.

Appreciated securities

You may make a gift of stocks, bonds and/or mutual funds that have been held for at least one year. This is an especially attractive option, as you receive a tax deduction and avoid paying capital gains tax if you were to sell the securities.

Real estate and personal property

Both real estate and personal property can be accepted as gifts. A second home, vacation home or piece of undeveloped real estate make attractive gifts, as does personal property, such as artwork.

Planned gift

A planned gift is one in which the donor retains an interest and the remainder will be received by the Foundation at a future time. Bequests from a will are planned gifts, as are charitable trusts; gifts of real estate may also be planned gifts.

IRA gift

To make a donation that will count as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), please make the check from your IRA payable to Kadlec Regional Medical Center. Kadlec Foundation, as a supporting organization, may not receive IRA gifts for QCD status. The distribution must be made by your IRA custodian directly from your account to Kadlec (not withdrawn first/made out to you) or the tax benefits will not apply.

Please mail your IRA check, made out to Kadlec Regional Medical Center, to Kadlec Foundation at the address below, and we will make sure it is appropriately acknowledged and designated:

K-LIFE

Kadlec Foundation's pooled income fund, K-LIFE (Kadlec Life Income Fund), is an opportunity that takes advantage of tax laws intended to encourage and reward philanthropy.

Kadlec Foundation seeks to elevate community health through the generous support of donors.

Every gift that is given to Kadlec Foundation comes with a story. That story may be about someone who received excellent care and wants to give back. It may be a story about someone who believes that our region's babies deserve the finest care possible. It could be a story about wanting to support the education of health care professionals. Every story is unique. And important.

It's our purpose at Kadlec Foundation to honor our donors by directing their gifts to elevate community health, to meet the health care needs of our region – now and into the future. Your donation stays local, to help families right here at home.

We never forget our responsibility to you to be good stewards of each donation. We take that responsibility seriously.

Kadlec Foundation is a non-profit  501(c)3 organization committed to supporting a healthier region. Every gift makes a direct impact.
