The Pacific Neuroscience Institute is thriving in a unique way—growing in efficacy and reputation and well within sight of exponential discoveries that will revolutionize the neurosciences. The institute’s hand-selected research team is extending survival rates and quality of life for patients with brain cancer and benign tumors of the brain, skull base, and pituitary gland—while advancing one of the final frontiers of medicine.

Brain games are a fundamental tool for our Brain Health team, helping patients regain as well as maintain cognitive function, agility, and brain health. The Power of Partnership’s success will enable Pacific Neuroscience Institute to advance its leading-edge care for patients with a wide spectrum of neurological and cranial disorders, including benign and malignant brain tumors, pituitary tumors and related hormonal disorders, stroke and other neurovascular diseases, vision and hearing disorders, facial pain and adult hydrocephalus syndromes, movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor, plus Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders, and autoimmune syndromes.

Campaign funding will also support the continued integration of Saint John’s and the Pacific Neuroscience Institute to provide multidisciplinary neurological and cranial care supported by breakthrough research and clinical trials.

We will build and support a team of data experts to analyze patient care and outcomes, furthering innovative brain health treatments. And we will launch a new Neuroanatomical Surgical Skills Laboratory to develop master surgeons and replace traditional surgery with minimally invasive techniques.

We will maintain our global leadership in the neurosciences through the Power of Partnership. Our researchers will continue their bold work toward targeting the genetic, molecular, and immune basis of brain cancer, advancing innovative diagnostic techniques, and developing new neuro-technologies in the battle against Alzheimer’s and other dementias. We also will develop new treatments through research and clinical trials in the fight against malignant brain tumors and life-altering strokes.

Our collective goal is to continue to set the pace as a global leader, revolutionizing comprehensive brain health.

We’re discovering new and innovative ways to improve the function of the brain and maintain its peak performance.” Dr. David Merrill Director of the Brain Health Center
