La Amistad Health Center
For over 30 years, La Amistad Health Center has cared for under-served members of the community by providing top-quality medical, dental and vision services.
As St. Joseph Hospital’s first community clinic, we’ve continued to adapt and expand our clinic programs to ensure comprehensive services for our low-income, underinsured and uninsured patient population.
We recently relocated La Amistad Health Center to a larger space in the Batavia Woods complex, located just across the way from St. Joseph Hospital.
Our doctors at the La Amistad Health Center truly believe in serving the community. Thanks to their dedication, over 24,000 patients are treated annually. Our multidisciplinary team includes:
- Dental hygienists
- Ear, nose and throat doctors (ENT specialists)
- Specially-trained nursing staff
- Medical assistants
- Pediatric dentists
- Nurse practitioners
- And more
Many of our caregivers make gifts to fund the Center. Some even contribute permanent endowments, yet additional support is still needed to meet the health care needs of the community we serve.
A gift of any amount can provide peace of mind for someone who needs health services but cannot afford care. Consider the ways in which your generosity contributes to the needs of our patients:
- $25 - One life-saving inoculation
- $75 - One month of diabetic patient supplies
- $150 – Six patient dental prevention visits
- $500 - 140 patient cholesterol screenings
- $1,000 - Cataract surgery for one patient
