Tri-Cities Washington COVID-19 update

Information about COVID-19 Vaccines

Kadlec is following state COVID-19 vaccine distribution guidelines and is committed to the safe and equitable distribution of the vaccine. We are encouraged by the interest in the community to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and encourage everyone to get vaccinated when it’s available to them, as it is a key step in saving lives and ending the pandemic.  We appreciate the community’s understanding that the number of people wanting and eligible to receive the vaccine far exceeds the number of doses of vaccine we currently have available.

It will take time, patience and community partnerships to vaccinate everyone who wants to be vaccinated for COVID-19.  We look forward to offering additional community vaccination clinics as vaccine is available.  When we have vaccine appointments available, we will post a notice on our Facebook page and will open the scheduling link housed here https://www.doh.wa.gov/YouandYourFamily/Immunization/VaccineLocations under Kadlec after clicking Benton County or Franklin County.  Washington State Department of Health has installed a COVID-19 Vaccine hotline 1-800-525-0127 Press #, to assist residents who may not have access to a computer.

We are experiencing high call volumes at the hospital and our clinics.  We are not able to answer questions regarding vaccine availability or schedule vaccine appointments over the phone. For information on vaccine phases, including when you and your family will be eligible to receive the vaccine and information on vaccine clinics/appointments, please visit the Washington State Department of Health website and click on the Vaccine Phase Finder Tool. Once you confirm your eligibility through Phase Finder, you may click a link to view vaccine availability in our area.  You may also find information at our website, coronavirus.providence.org, and click on Washington.

Please know the health and well-being of our caregivers, our patients and our community remains our highest priority. Thank you for continuing to do your part to keep you and our communities safe by wearing a mask, practicing social distancing and washing your hands frequently. Stay safe and be well.

Entry into Our Facilities

Visitors will be screened at the main entrances prior to entering. Anyone who exhibits cold or flu-like symptoms or has a fever will be asked to return home.

Visitor Restrictions

In order to protect the health of our communities, and as a safety precaution to prevent the risk of spreading COVID-19, Kadlec is instituting additional visitor restrictions in accordance with recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Kadlec understands the importance and value of patients having access to their loved ones while receiving care in the hospital and clinics. However, there are times when limitations must be placed on incoming visitors to reduce the potential spread of disease. This is one of those times.

Kadlec has limited visitors restrictions to all Kadlec facilities, including when a patient is hospitalized. We encourage our patients and their loved ones to communicate through phone and video calls. There are minimal exceptions to this policy, such as children admitted to the hospital, labor and delivery, and patients receiving end-of-life or palliative care.

For these very limited exceptions, all visitors must be 18 years or older, and be free of cold or flu-like symptoms and not have a fever. To enforce these restrictions at the hospital campus, please know all visitors will be screened at the entrances.

These restrictions apply to all Kadlec locations, including the hospital campus in Richland; the Freestanding Emergency Department in Kennewick; any Kadlec Clinic; Urgent Care or Express Care Clinic; Kadlec Healthplex; Kadlec Outpatient Imaging Center at 945 Goethals; and the Tri-Cities Regional Surgery Center and Kadlec Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Thank you for helping protect our patients, their families and our employees from the spread of infectious disease.
