Providence Health Care Expands Cardiac and Liver/Pancreas Services in Lewiston and Clarkston Area
Clarkston, Wash. — Providence Health Care opened a new, expanded health care clinic on Mon. May 17 to serve the greater Lewiston/Clarkston area. The clinic, located at 808 Port Drive in Clarkston, will provide cardiac services and follow up outreach services to patients with congenital heart disorders, as well as liver and pancreas illnesses. Providence is moving from the Valley Medical Center building where they practiced for the last 17 years.
Cardiac Care
The cardiac team will be onsite full time at the new clinic to provide services including echocardiograms, stress testing, nuclear imaging services, monitoring, device checks and more. Cardiac providers include David Jones, M.D. and Janet Collar, ARNP. Dr. Jones has practiced cardiology in the Inland Northwest since 2002. He will share his time between his current practice in Pullman and the new Clarkston location. Janet Collar, a registered nurse practitioner, will continue to provide care as she has for local patients for the last four years.
Congenital Heart and Liver/Pancreas
In addition, providers specializing in congenital heart and liver and pancreas disease will rotate through this clinic for follow-up appointments with patients.
Providence Center for Congenital Heart Disease, located in Spokane, is an integrated program that provides cardiac care for patients with all types of congenital heart defects. Jeremy Nicolarsen, M.D., with Providence Center for Congenital Heart Disease and the Providence Adult and Teen Congenital Heart (PATCH) program, will rotate on a regular basis to follow-up with existing patients in the Lewiston/Clarkston area.
Providence Liver & Pancreas Center, also in Spokane, provides clinical services and leading therapies for patients with cancerous or non-cancerous conditions of the liver, pancreas and biliary system. Juan Mejia, M.D., and Jennifer Pasko, M.D., will travel to the new Clarkston clinic to provide follow-up visits with local patients.
