Providence provides virtual care for patients and reduces their exposure to COVID-19 through the COVID At-Home Monitoring program. Symptomatic, clinically-stable patients are given a thermometer and pulse oximeter to perform self-monitoring in the comfort of their homes.

• Meet Grace: This AI-based, natural language tool assesses COVID-19 risk, answers questions, and directs patients toward the appropriate venue of care.
• ExpressCare Virtual: Get access to high quality, on-demand care virtually. This program is currently available 7 days a week and 12 hours a day for residents of Alaska, California, Oregon, Washington, and Montana.

Providence is looking to expand this model of technology-enabled care beyond remote monitoring for COVID-19. This model will facilitate aging in place and create new opportunities for chronic disease management. Not only will treatments cost less, but patients can also avoid hospital-related complications and unnecessary readmission through Providence’s Virtual Home Care program.
