Providence and Cedars-Sinai: An incredible partnership
Combining the heart of a community-centered hospital with the advancements of a renowned medical powerhouse, Providence and Cedars-Sinai have teamed up to bring the highest-quality health care available – anywhere in the world – right to your own backyard. Through a major expansion of Tarzana Medical Center, we’re creating an ultramodern, full-service health care campus that offers San Fernando Valley residents incredible care, incredibly close to home.
Expanding care in the Valley
It is a privilege to announce the opening of a new, state-of-the-art campus that is reflective of our world-class care and services. Expected to open in fall 2023, the renovated and expanded Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center will feature a five-story patient care tower with leading-edge operating rooms, including all-private patient rooms and a future revolutionary hybrid surgical suite (expected to open in 2026).
Specialized care for complex pregnancies. Sophisticated yet home-like delivery rooms. An all-new pediatrics wing equipped with a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. These are some of the ways we’re helping women and children thrive.
As the Valley’s leading robotic surgery program, we’ve seen patients benefit from less pain and faster recovery after robotic colorectal, gynecological, kidney, liver and gallbladder procedures. Under our new partnership, we look forward to doubling our robotic capacity and broadening these services to include gynecology oncology and thoracic surgeries.
Already rated a five-star treatment center for heart attacks, heart failure and pacemaker procedures, your community hospital is continuing to transform into a world-class cardiovascular surgery center. From diagnosis to treatment to rehabilitation, we offer Valley residents the full range of leading-edge services for heart and vascular issues, right in your neighborhood.
Our expanding emergency department is ready for any medical crisis, from life-threatening strokes and heart attacks to children’s eye injuries and broken bones. Equipped with life-saving technology and staffed by experts in multiple specialties, we’re open 24/7 to provide expert care and compassionate concern for our Valley neighbors.
Celebrating a half century of incredible care
While our family, our facilities, our services – and even our name – have grown, we’re still the same deeply committed community hospital, at heart, that’s been caring for the San Fernando Valley since 1973. Our reimagined Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center campus is slated for completion in 2023, just in time for our 50th anniversary. We can’t think of a more incredible way to celebrate a half century of service in our community.
