This was my first visit with Susann Mischke NP and could not have been more pleased. I felt heard and so appreciated our conversation regarding my current medication and next steps.

My regular cardiologist was not available and I needed a EKG for surgery clearance. Dr. Mischke was wonderful. She was very thorough and caring. In the future if my regular cardiologist is not available,I will ask for her.

This visit was the first time I had met with Susann Mitchke. The doctor that I usually see was unavailable to discuss the results of my recent test and I was hesitant to meet with Ms. Mitchke, who is a Nurse Practitioner. I must say that she totally exceeded my expectations! She very carefully explained my condition, using visual aids, and spent a great deal of time advising me. My husband was meeting with her at the same time and she was very helpful in discussing his various health issues. As a result of my confidence in her, I have opted to see her again for my next visit.

I give Susann highest marks, from start to finish. She is friendly and welcoming. Asked about my particular issues since our last appointment. Listened to my questions and concerns. Looked Into my medical record when she needed to check on something. Knows her "stuff" and was able to respond to me in a clear and helpful way. Thorough. Encouraging. She and Dr. Maur make a great team! (The last sentence is a "freebee", but I mean it!)

My appointment (for April [Date] ) for a surgery clearance and results of an echocardiogram got cancelled because Dr. Halpern has been out for a family emergency. Your scheduling people worked with me to fit me in with someone else that I could see and then get a clearance in time for my June [Date] surgery. Susan Mischke, the nurse practitioner that saw me on May [Date], did a great job explaining the results of my echocardiogram (using a chart of a heart which was very helpful ) and discussing my surgery clearance situation. I was very impressed with Susan and I appreciated being fit in to her schedule!!! Everyone at the office was friendly and helpful!

Suzanne has a very similar way of interacting with patients as Dr. V., so it makes for a very seamless experience. They are both extremely informative, but conservative practitioners, who coordinate their treatment to the patients current status rather than prescribe the more invasive treatment that might be required at a more advanced stage of the patients condition. They are both very articulate about explaining this medical philosophy and that's the kind of medicine I appreciate.
