Jennifer M. A. Abelson, MD

Jennifer Abelson, M.D., M.B.A., attended medical school at Duke University School of Medicine where she earned her medical degree and attended Duke Fuqua School of Business where she earned her master’s degree in business administration. She completed her general surgery residency and a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery, both at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Abelson is widely published and is a member of multiple organizations, including the the Association for Academic Surgery, the Association of Women Surgeons, Women in Thoracic Surgery, the American College of Cardiology, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, and the American Association for Thoracic Surgery. She is also board certified in Thoracic surgery. She has a special interest and advanced training in arrhythmia ablation surgery, aortic surgery and aneurysm surveillance, and multi-arterial coronary artery bypass grafting.
