About Richard M. Kurtz

Richard was born and raised in Anchorage Alaska. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Community Health Education from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. He received a Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and completed his Masters in Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, California. He has been in practice for the past 25 years as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He has worked at Providence for the past ten years. In addition to providing strength based therapy services, he provides Neuro feedback services. (Neuro feedback is a modality that addresses problems of brain dysfunction including migraines, issues stemming from traumatic brain injury, and emotional dysregulation.) He and his wife met in Peace Corps Senegal and have three growing children.
