Jason M. Baker, MD

Jason Baker, MD, became a physician because he enjoys the variety and diversity of needs in family medicine, and providing comprehensive care to his patients.

As a family medicine provider, Dr. Baker has the opportunity to take care of his patients’ health and well-being across time. He becomes acquainted with his patients’ goals and preferences, and gets to know their families. “This helps me provide personalized and tailored health plans to each of my patients to best meet their own needs,” he says. In addition, Dr. Baker enjoys learning from and working with a variety of individuals from all callings during his daily practice because it enriches his knowledge of other cultures and helps him become a better provider. “I am committed to patient education and providing compassionate patient-centered, evidence-based care,” he explains. “I want to work with patients to translate complex medical situations into everyday language so we can make positive health changes together.” Dr. Baker’s medical interests include preventive medicine, immigrant health, nutrition and fitness, and a whole-body approach to improving quality of life.

Dr. Baker earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City. He completed his residency at Valley Family Medicine in Renton, Washington.

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Baker moved back to Oregon following his residency training. Away from work, he likes to spend time with family and friends hiking, cooking, and exercising.
