Maria Cortez, NP

Maria Cortez is a certified family nurse practitioner with 5 years of experience. After completing her vocational nursing certification through South Plains College, she continued her education and obtained her undergraduate nursing degree at Covenant School of Nursing. She has been nursing for 24 years, most of those years within the Covenant Health system since 1995 to include Electrophysiology, Cardiology, ICU, and the Emergency department with trauma certification. She completed her graduate family nurse practitioner degree at Lubbock Christian University. Maria has been in Electrophysiology/Cardiology as a nurse practitioner for the past 5 years. She is board certified. When she is not caring for patients, Maria enjoys spending time with her family and cooking with her husband.
