Nan-Shing Hsu, MD

Dr Hsu failed to reply to an email regarding my appointment and during my visit had to be reminded of my health history having met previously! I am considering changing primary care doctors!

This provider is very polite and detail oriented.

Dr Hsu is very knowledgeable and I always feel she is listening to what I have to say, then sharing her insights and suggestions going forward.

The providers were very good in trying to figure out what is going on with my neck pain. Ordered many tests, now in the process of figuring out what is going on.

The front office personnel were really friendly and helpful. The MA got me back to the room really quickly and was nice and knowledgeable. Dr Hsu was very excellent. She spoke clearly and addressed my concerns appropriately.

I was pleased with the doctor, who I had not seen before. She asked questions and listened carefully. She went over my medical records and prior test results to understand my background. The doctor was easy to communicate with, and was very thorough.

I don't mind waiting for a doctor, like Dr. Hsu, who takes time to be with the patient.

I shared earlier that the provider told me I should consider taking post exposure rabies vaccine for my dog bite. I hadnt even considered this. Then she didn't provide any information about how I should decide whether to take it only that I should "go to an ER" if I decided to take it. She then left abruptly. She called back to let me know that I should "do research with the CDC" on whether I should take it. I followed up with questions thru my chart and the nurse responded that I should be asking them with my primary care provider. This makes no sense and was untimely and unhelpful.

Dr. HSU is a new doctor to me having come from UW Medicine. She was thorough during my initial visit.

Dr. Su is very professional, experienced, patient and caring towards patients. She is a great doctor. The rest of the staff was also very nice.

Dr. Hsu has a brilliant, medicine inclined intellect however I believe she's showing signs of aging. She confused right with left and lower with higher. Both could be serious mistakes. However she is the only doctor that actually listened to my concern about leg pain and SUCCESSFULLY treated that. I went for 15 years with this pain often dismissed by other doctors. Honestly, I'm torn between finding a new doctor or keeping her.

Dr was kind, spent time listening , sent out referrals to follow up my care , I will stay with her as a patient.

My care provider is very detail oriented. She also is very knowledgeable about what meds help with my Diabetes Type 2. In my case, she didn't like the side effects of the medication I was taking, so she switched me to a new medication. The lab tests showed that I am deficient in Vit B12. She had her medical assistant call me to let me know, so I can go ahead and take a supplement for this problem.

She's caught two details in my medical records (that previous providers missed) that needed attention and follow-up. She's also great about explaining possible age-related changes I'm experiencing, why they occur, and what I can do to mitigate their effect. Lastly, I appreciate her directness and friendly encouragement. I look forward to our visits.

I saw Dr. Shu. She took FOREVER to show up. 45 minutes didn't apologize for my wait. She was beyond thorough to the point I wanted to leave. While I say all this, I actually wouldn't mind having her again!

My care provider was very courteous and professional. She asked me how was I doing with the medication and if I wanted to continue taking it in spite of some side effects.

I would not recommend Dr Hsu. She was disinterested in my situation, and provided no help. It was a waste of time.

Great experience! I went with my husband to his first visit with Dr. Hsu several days before, so I already had a sense of her care for her patients. This time it was my turn. I really, really like and trust her knowledge and how perspicacious she is. I have many different conditions, and she was not only aware of them, she recommended some updates on my meds and gave great explanations for doing so. I really trust her. (And she has the coolest shoes!)

My PCP moved away and this was my first visit with m new one. She is great and my visit went smoothly. I was very relieved.

This was my first time seeing this provider. The provider was very helpful.

I think the nurse knew why I was visiting but the the doctor did not. When she came in she asked why I was there. I had come in prior to my visit and had them copy the letter from my surgeon for pre-surgery clearance and she had not read the letter prior to my appointment. I also was very uncomfortable with the way she talked about the nurse in front of me, very unprofessional.
