For Andreas Schneider, M.D., becoming a surgeon was the best way he could combine his need to connect and serve with his interests in science and the human body. “I love that surgery is practical, “hands on” and delivers immediate results.” he says.

Dr. Schneider’s patients and their needs are at the heart and center of his practice. “One solution doesn’t fit all, so I like to look at the patient’s whole situation, their expectations and needs and offer a balanced and personalized treatment plan.” he says. He specializes in treating all general surgical disease as well as complex gastrointestinal diseases with advanced laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques.

Dr. Schneider attended medical school at Ludwig Maximilian University in Germany. He completed an internship and residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut, a fellowship in minimally invasive Esophageal surgery at Swedish Cancer Center in Washington, and another fellowship in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic surgery at Portland Cancer Institute in Portland, Oregon.

Born and raised in Chicago, Dr. Schneider has dual citizenship in Germany and the US. He enjoys living in the Pacific Northwest with his family and loves the ocean, forests, and outdoor activities.
