About Kerrie L. Adams
Dr. Adams discovered a love of science in college and realized she could use that to help people through medicine. With initial plans to pursue orthopedic or trauma surgery, she learned in medical school how much she enjoyed working with women—and the profound impact she could have in improving their day-to-day quality of life. This is what drives her practice today, where she enjoys learning each person’s story and understanding their priorities and challenges. She finds helping people to be extremely rewarding, especially those with complex or persistent issues involving fecal or urinary incontinence or retention, pelvic organ prolapse and vaginal fistula. Dr. Adams is trained in robotic and traditional minimally invasive surgery to address pelvic floor disorders, as well as percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) to treat overactive bladder. She enjoys working with the elderly and her global humanitarian work has created a deep passion for serving immigrants and refugees. Dr. Adams served in the military for 15 years. She has used her skills to help underserved communities in Ethiopia, Cambodia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Jordan and Mexico—countries where the need for pelvic floor surgery is very high and access to these services is limited. In her free time, she also enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her two children and traveling.
