Sarah Xie, Sarah Shu Ya

Dr. Xie earned her medical degree at Western University of Health Sciences/College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and is a resident training in Internal Medicine at Providence Portland Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Xie was born in Guangzhou, China but grew up in the Greater Los Angeles Area with her two younger siblings. She is a self-described jack-of-all-trades and had dabbled in many creative endeavors ranging from script writing, ballroom dancing, to computer programming. She had an early affinity for solving complex puzzles, which ultimately led to her love of internal medicine. Dr. Xie graduated from University of California, Irvine with a degree in Public Health Sciences and a minor in Psychology. Prior to medical school, she worked in online marketing and took time off to backpack internationally. In her free time, Sarah enjoys exploring new places, playing with her mischievous cat, Boo Boo, hunting for treasures at local swap meets, or curling up with a good book.
