About Polly C. Molden
“My emphasis in practice is to first listen to patient concerns and develop the plan of care around their experiences and needs,” says Polly Molden, CNM. “This seems like the most important role to me as a provider and strongly informs my philosophy of care. Providing great, safe care with shared patient- and provider-medical-decision-making is another cornerstone of my care.”
Polly was drawn to midwifery after spending many years working in reproductive health justice. She felt that the best way to continue to support women was in providing respectful, patient-lead care throughout their reproductive lifespan and found midwifery to be a natural fit for this. “I really enjoy deepening my connection with women and families as their families grow and I get to know them more throughout their reproductive lifespan,” she shares. Polly is particularly sensitive to patients with a history of sexual trauma. Born in Connecticut, Polly now lives in the Portland area with her husband and daughter (who she delivered with Providence Women’s Clinic).
