About Alyssa B. Shaffer
Dr. Shaffer completed her medical training at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago and her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She joined the Providence Hood River Women's Clinic in 2023 and shortly thereafter welcomed her first child at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital. When not working, Dr. Shaffer enjoys reading, playing with her cats, scrapbooking, and hiking with her family.

So far I have got to meet all providers at the Hood River Providence women's clinic and have been very satisfied with he current staff. The doctors listen to concerns and give through feedback and information on risk vs reward for my current pregnancy. They so far have not been pushing on things I choose are safe for me and my growing baby. Very understanding to my requests and birth plan.

The MA's back was turned towards me while she was on the computer. No big deal to me but I Could see how this could be feel impersonal. Also, not her fault, the rooms are tiny and set up poorly.
