About Evalynn Vasquez
Dr. Evalynn Vasquez is the Associate Chief of the Division of Urology and an Assistant Professor of Urology working in the Division of Pediatric Urology at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Vasquez serves as the Director of our Complex Reconstruction and Malformations Program. In addition to seeing patients at CHLA, she has office hours at our satellite locations in Long Beach, Torrance and Thousand Oaks. Dr. Vasquez is originally from South Pasadena and earned her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles. She then went to medical school at Saint Louis University where she earned a dual MD-MBA degree. After graduation she started her residency at Saint Louis University, then completed her residency in Urology at Loyola University in Chicago. She went on to complete her Pediatric Urology Fellowship through Harvard University’s program at Boston Children’s Hospital. During her fellowship, she worked in a basic science lab studying proteins that control bladder contractility and worked with the Multi-Institutional Bladder Exstrophy Consortium (MIBEC) to produce several papers and videos. Coupled with general pediatric urology, she also has a special interest in caring for patients with hypospadias, Spina Bifida, bladder exstrophy, and cloacal exstrophy.
