tHEY GOT ME IN THE NEXT DAY AFTER INITIAL CALL FROM ME THEN I WAS EARLY TO THE APPOINTMENT AND THEY WORKED ME IN QUIKLY SO THAT IWOULD NOT HAVE A LONG WAIT AND A LATE START HOME IN FOUL WEATHER. VERY MUCH APPRECIATED

Said my BMI was 27 - needed to lose 9 lbs - I was "too close to BMI of 30 WHICH is obese." I wear a size 10. Requested refill on Nitro. He gave me 4 bottles - 100 pills [...]. The pharmacist laughed. Had never seen a prescription of that quantity.

The provider, Gabe Owens, seemed detached, and I got the impression when he entered the room that he would rather not be there. When I asked if I should increase dosage of a medication when I had an episode of heart palpitations, his response was, "Do you think you should?" I said, "What to you think?" I don't know so I asked to make sure I was not over dosing on the medication. Not the response that I went to see him for. I left without a clear understanding of what I should do if the episodes should recur.

Perhaps my next appointment will be more informative. I don't expect too much from a New Patient appointment. It is usually a time when information is reviewed and further testing is ordered if needed.

PA Owens is soft spoken and towards the end of a sentence his voice fades. With hearing aids it was difficult to catch some of his words.

My sis and I were very impressed with the care I received on my first visit to a heart institute. Dr and his med asst were very informed of my prob. but of course they were looking at the computer which is wonderful to have yours in network with my Dr.

I find it frustrating when I get a reminder call to make an appointment and then get told the doctor is booked out for several months....so far out that they won't make an appointment but put the burden back on me to remember to call later only to be told that my doctor is now booked out for 6 months. I would have appreciated a little more assistance in making my appointment the first time I called. "You'll just have to call back because the June schedule isn't out yet." [...]

All people I've seen to date presented themselves very well. They were able to work with my schedule. Gabe did very well.

This was the first time I saw this PA. I was not impressed, seemed blah and uninterested in my appointment. poor bedside manor. have no plans of seeing this provider again.

Mr. Owens didn't seem to know why I was there, and told me I could have called in or went on the computer for test results, when it was that office that set up the appointment.

It was my first really disappointing Dr. visit in many years. I had been sent by my local provider due to light headed spells. [...] He changed my [...] fro 120 MG Er to 180/ My pharmacist explained that the new dose would lowed my blood pressure and cause dizziness. I refused the 90 pills. My BP is erratic but low enough and dizziness was what we were correcting. He did remind me I could write to him on My Plan. I was to do that tonight. I will I would like my regular dosage reordered. I do not remember ever being disappointed with a caregivers general demeanor and results.

the PA I saw was not interested in what I had to say, or in answering my questions. I will continue with this practice but wil NOT see the man Insaw on this visit. I felt it was a waste of time.

I am nearly totally deaf and notified all the care-givers at the outset about my problem. When I didn't answer one of the doctor's questions directly, he kept asking the same question louder and louder and finally got sarcastic with me. After that he became more courteous and gentle.

He left me with the feeling that I was imposing on his day and he had more important things to do rather than spend time with me. i.e. the nurses did an ekg prior to his entering the room and he never discussed the results. When I questioned a medicine, he said "nobody makes you take that" ins spite of the fact the medicine was presicribed by his superior. He did not explain the merits of the med. It was how fast could he exit the room. "there is no sense in giving you a written summary..." I would cancel an appointmentrather than accept another session with him.

Provider was flippant and brusque. He acted inconvenienced by a Friday afternoon appointment. My wife [...] had to drag information from him, and he wasn't very forthcoming. We are accustomed to very informative providers, and this was a disappointment.
